Managed WAF rules
Managed WAF rules are rule sets written and updated by the WAF vendor (or a project like the OWASP Core Rule Set) to block common attacks without the customer writing rules themselves.
Managed rules give fast baseline protection and get updated when new attack techniques or CVEs appear. Most teams turn them on at deployment.
Because they're written for every customer at once, managed rules know nothing about a specific application. They are a common source of false positives, and a vendor update can change blocking behavior overnight without the team noticing.
Where Huskeys fits
Huskeys shows which managed rules fire on each application and whether they block real users.
