Policy lifecycle automation
Policy lifecycle automation is the process of testing, deploying, versioning and rolling back edge security rules automatically, instead of editing them by hand in each vendor's console.
Most WAF rule changes are still made manually, often under pressure during an incident. That makes teams reluctant to change anything, so rules go stale.
Automating the lifecycle means a proposed rule is simulated against real traffic, rolled out in phases, monitored, and rolled back if it misbehaves. The same rule can be translated into each vendor's syntax so it's applied consistently.
Where Huskeys fits
This is the "Orchestrate" part of Huskeys: one rule model translated to each vendor, with simulation and safe rollout.
